Hello, I’m Essen. I’m a strong, resilient girl with a big heart and an even bigger spirit. Life has shown me a lot and I've spent A LOT of time trying to find my fur-ever family, but I’ve come through it all with strength and courage. I’m ready to find a home that appreciates a dog who knows who she is and stands tall, both in body and in spirit.

I do well with other dogs when introductions are done thoughtfully. I need to learn some manners when meeting others, and I appreciate a bit of time to feel comfortable with new friends. Cats and small animals, though, just aren’t my style—I’d rather be the only “little” one in the house.

I’m hoping to find a family who can appreciate my independent nature, my loyalty, and my bravery. If you’re looking for a true friend with a big heart and a mind as strong as her body, I’d love to meet you. Could you be my forever family?
